Primary Job Title: Electro/Mechanical Assembler ILocation: Newark, DEOnsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract Details:Position Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 months (with intent to convert to full time if performance and business needs align)Start: Mid-May 2026 (with flexibility up to early June if needed)Pay Rate: $21.95 / Hour (USD)Shift / Schedule: First shift only, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday Friday. Schedule is firm with no flexibility on start or end time. Business need Saturday scheduled approximately once per month, pre-planned. Voluntary overtime available after training and sign off. No overtime required during training period.Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job Summary: Electro Mechanical Assembler I supporting mammography production. Assembly work on AWS line and related production areas. Use of hand tools, basic assembly, adherence to SOPs and client requirements. Regulated manufacturing environment with documented processes. Two total openings.Key Responsibilities:Build and inspect electro-mechanical assemblies per specification, which may involve system level assembly and sub-assembly testAssemble sub-assemblies and system level hardwarePerform in process sub-assembly testing of product being manufactured, when requiredComplete Device History Record dataPerform assembly and test requirements for reconditioned hardware, when requiredPerform packaging functions in Instruments Manufacturing, when requiredMaintain compliance with Hologic policies QSR, ISO, EH and SSupport the day-to-day operations of manufacturing and service support to forecast, and regulatory compliance and Hologic policies QSR, ISO, EH and SProvide training as neededParticipate in the reduction of risk and injury in the workplace by identifying risks and implementing controls to eliminate or minimize riskSupport internal departmental audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with Hologic policies QSR, ISO, EH and SPerform other duties as requiredRequired Skills:Proficiency with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, terminal crimpers, and soldering ironsAbility to follow written instructions such as assembly procedures, test procedures, and mechanical assembly drawingsExperience with basic mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers and indicatorsExperience with basic electrical test equipment such as multimetersAbility to use hand tools in a manufacturing or assembly settingAbility to follow basic SOPs and approved proceduresComputer literacy; must be comfortable using systems and basic computer functionsReliable work history with reasonable job tenure and clear explanations for any gapsAbility to work full first shift schedule consistentlyPreferred Skills:At least two years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not requiredPrior regulated or medical device manufacturing exposure is a plus but not requiredEducation Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent experience and/or trainingWork Environment / Physical Requirements:Regulated manufacturing environment with documented processesStandard manufacturing PPE expectedAssembly work on AWS line and related production areasResume Screening Signals:Positive Signals:Stable work history with consistent tenureHands on assembly or manufacturing experienceClear experience using hand toolsEvidence of following documented procedures or SOP driven workBasic computer skills listed or demonstratedRed Flags:Frequent job hopping with short durationsLarge unexplained gaps in employmentInability to articulate prior work historyLack of any hands on or procedural work experienceExperience Level Guidance:Entry to early mid level assembler profileCandidates without two full years of manufacturing experience are still acceptable if other core skills are presentOver emphasis on years of experience should be avoided in favor of reliability and skill fitInterview Process:Initial phone screen by hiring managerOn site interview following phone screenHiring manager plans to personally screen candidates prior to on site interviewBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Client: Innovative medical technology firm focused on women's health.About GTT: GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
