Senior High Severity Property Loss Claims Manager

As a Senior High Severity Property Loss Claims Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing, investigating, and resolving high severity property loss claims with limited supervision. Your focus will be on providing exceptional customer service to our policyholders and supporting our Customer Claims Representatives during inspections and policyholder interactions. Training is essential for your success, and reliable attendance during the training process is mandatory.Key Responsibilities:Investigate, determine coverage, and adjust complex Property Loss claims of high severity. Conduct thorough inspections of loss sites, draft detailed appraisals for dwelling repairs, and issue payments to policyholders as appropriate. Collaborate with the Liberty network contractors during the appraisal process and participate in their re-inspection. Independently scope high severity and large losses effectively. Assist policyholders in understanding their coverage, itemizing damages, making emergency repairs, and arranging additional living accommodations. Coordinate various vendor services, including contractors, emergency repairs, cleaning services, and replacements. Identify suspicious claims and recommend referral to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) as needed, aiding them in claim investigations. Be available for catastrophe duty, assist in managing operations during catastrophes, and ensure quality control of independent contractors used. Be prepared for travel to claim locations for Catastrophe (CAT) roles involving investigative fieldwork. Support the training of property personnel and serve as a technical resource to the team, stepping in for the Claims Team Manager when necessary. Qualifications:A strong understanding of coverages provided in various homeowner policies is required. Demonstrated ability to manage claims with high complexity and exposure. Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to independently manage your workload with sound judgment. Proven track record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and oral communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills. Proficient in using multiple computer systems and possess strong analytical skills. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of related experience is preferred. Completion of advanced property training is required.
