Bioprocessing Account Manager, East Coast
Distek is seeking a motivated Bioprocessing Account Manager to join our growing sales team. This role is specifically designed for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in life sciences sales or technical customer-facing roles who want to develop their skills in bioprocessing sales. Based in DC, DE, MD, NJ or Eastern PA, this position focuses on expanding BIOne benchtop bioreactor sales across the East Coast. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their applications, support product evaluations, and build long-term relationships—while learning Distek’s sales process, products, and market approach.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow BIOne Bioreactor sales on the East Coast.Identify and generate leads through research, cold calling, trade shows, and networkingLead technical sales calls, schedule and conduct demonstrations, and manage product evaluationsCollaborate with product line management and administration to prepare quotationsClose BIOne orders and support customer satisfaction throughout the sales processProactively follow up with customers post-saleParticipate in trade shows and stay informed on bioprocessing industry trendsPrepare and submit accurate quotationsPerform all responsibilities in accordance with ISO standards and internal proceduresQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering) or equivalent experiencePrior upstream bioreactor experience (cell culture or fermentation) is required1–3 years of direct sales experience in the life sciences industry is requiredExperience engaging customers through sales calls, presentations, or trainingAbility and willingness to travel at least 60–70% within the assigned territory is requiredSkillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong organizational and prioritization skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM toolsTeam-oriented mindsetCompany OfferingsCareer growthMedical / Dental / Vision 401(k) PlanGenerous Holiday ScheduleVacation & Sick timePositive company cultureCompetitive Compensation
