For this reason, we offer industry leading benefits and competitive salaries for professionals who are passionate about serving their clients.Job DescriptionDevelop, plan, design and provide professional certification of plans and specifications related to landscape, greening, irrigation systems, and grading projectsDesign in-house landscape and greening projects and land use planning projectsSupervise the preparation of drawings and specifications for landscaping and changes in existing landscapeSupervise the development and processing of Design Service Proposals for landscape design projectsCollaborate with in-house design managers, engineers, and architects for landscape design projects and greening projectsCoordinate and finalize design plans with LAUSD Technical staff, project planning staff, and Maintenance and Operations staff for design projects and greening projectsFinalize coordination plans with school principals, teachers, non-profit groups, and parent groups for landscape design and greening projectsReview, approve and negotiate task ordersManages landscape and greening projects related to researching the scope of work, preparing project cost estimates, material selection, equipment and installation, and methods of delivery and costsConduct site visits and monitor progress of landscape design and greening projectsReview and approves documents for grant applicationsReviews specifications and drawings to ensure District policies and procedures for landscape related practices are implementedPerforms other relevant duties as assigned8 years' experience in landscape architectural design on commercial or public agency projects, preferably in school or university projects.Experience with AutoCAD design software systemProficiency in computer office software (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.)Experience with graphic design and rendering software (Adobe Suite, Photoshop, others)Required EducationGraduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architectureRequired LicenseA valid certificate of registration as a licensed Landscape Architect issued by the California State Board of Landscape ArchitectsAdditional RequirementsExtensive experience in AutoCad and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Revit, Rhino and Lumion experience is preferredSkillsStrong design skills and a passion for creativityStrong organizational skillsA high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulnessKnowledge of planting design, materials, and technical aspects of landscape architectureReview of construction documents, specifications and contractsConstruction administration experience, as well as experience coordinating with a range of consultants including civil, electrical, and structural engineersStrong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.BE CHALLENGED, BE INSPIRED.With SafeworkCM, you'll play a part in solving complex technical challenges with innovative, sustainable, and dependable solutions.
