They handle materials from 2lbs to 1000+lbs. You will be trained on proper lifting techniques and hoist usage to hang/rig materials. Additionally, Techs keep the area free of debris and may have to assist in other departments as well.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Operates fork lift and hoist to organize and distribute production materialFills each work cell demand for materialWashes, preps, sands and rigs parts on paint lineUnderstands and follow all ISO and 5S initiativesParticipates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalsPerforms other duties as assignedProvides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skillComplies with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human ResourcesHelp with other duty's within the paint departmentQualifications:Previous experience on a sit-down, counter balance truck desired. Will complete fork lift training upon hireHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic computer skillsWillingness to learn safe operation of all lifting devicesAbility to follow instruction on the proper preparation of material prior to and after paintingAbility to work independently with little supervisionLocation: 7229 W Wheeler Rd, Mapleton, IL 61547Shift and Hours: 2nd 2:30 PM - 11PMStarting Pay: $16.00/ hour (+ $1/hr differential for 2nd shift)Company Information:G&D Integrated has a rich history that dates back to the early 1880s, when freight was delivered with horse-drawn wagons.
