Job PostingThe City of Saint Peter, Minnesota, is accepting applications for an Apprentice Lineworker in the Department of Public Works. What You'll Do: Train to become a Journey Lineworker while learning to construct, operate and maintain the City's electrical distribution system. Assist with electrical installations, repairs, equipment operation, system maintenance, and emergency response while following required safety standards. Apprenticeship Experience Is Highly Valued Currently enrolled in or nearing completion of a Lineman Apprenticeship Program? We encourage you to apply! The city uses a 100-point scoring system based on related experience and training. Applicants enrolled in or who have completed an approved apprenticeship program receive additional points for directly related training and experience. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; AAS degree/diploma in Powerline Technology or currently enrolled in a qualifying technical program; Valid driver's license; Minnesota Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement or ability to obtain within six months; AHA CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months.
