Mechanical/Electrical Technician

POSITION INFO:This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department.Primarily responsible for providing mechanical/electrical breakdown or troubleshooting services and/or any other duties as assigned by supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily housekeeping activitiesDaily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditionsWork closely with production associates and supervision to fill their needs to accomplish highest production efficiencyMake repairs on all equipment within the plant.Fill in as breakdown technician in any department as neededPromote lean manufacturing in all processes.Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisorEXPERIENCE:3 years' experience in an industrial maintenance roleEDUCATION:High School Deploma or GED preferredTexas State Journeyman's Electrical License or equivalent is a plus.TRAINING AND SKILLS:NIBCO electrical certification and demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeFork truck qualifiedCustomer focusMust be able to work in adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and elevated positionsMust be able to wear a respiratorTeamwork / CollaborationAbility to use measuring instrumentsRead prints and design drawingsOperate power toolsGood work ethicPHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:Ability to continuously stand or walk.
