Specialist Payroll Position Summary: Responsible for accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, providing timely and accurate financial informationJob Title: Specialist PayrollDepartment: FinanceReports To: Manager PayrollFLSA Designation: ExemptLicense Type: Non-GamingSalary: $65,000 - $80,000Essential Job Functions:Prepare work in a manner that results in a complete and evident audit trail to ensure the "re-performance" standard is metAnalyze, reconcile and validate data received from internal sources and automated systems. Which includes but is not limited to the following:Tokes and service chargesPunch detail from timekeeping systemPTO, sick days, and other types of compensated days offEmployee deductions for benefits, taxes, etc.Employee mealsUpdate and maintain employee pay information, including direct deposit information.Maintains pay card information and processingAssist in the preparation of the reconciliation of applicable general ledger accounts on a monthly basisAssist in the preparation of payroll and reportingAny and all other tasks or projects as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentStrong math skillsExperience with computer software including Excel, Word and Google a plusAbility to maintain organization, meet deadlines, possess integrity and discretion in handling of confidential informationPossess the cognitive ability to identify potential problem areas from information presentedMust be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and excel in a team-oriented environmentMust have a flexible schedule including shifts, days of the week including holidaysAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licensingWorking conditions:Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds with or without an accommodationFrequently required to stoop, crouch, kneel, stand or sit for long periods of timeAbility to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanorEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
