Associate Scientist

SUMMARYThis position supports laboratory operations through hands-on testing, quality oversight, and collaboration with internal teams. The role focuses on executing moderately complex laboratory procedures, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to continuous process improvements. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a structured lab environment while gaining exposure to advanced methodologies and cross-functional teamwork.RESPONSIBILITIES• Conduct laboratory testing procedures of moderate to advanced complexity while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.• Review and validate specimen results, identifying discrepancies and documenting any corrective actions taken.• Support and mentor junior laboratory staff, including assisting with onboarding and training on laboratory techniques and processes.• Maintain and monitor quality control standards to ensure consistent and timely reporting of laboratory results.• Assist in developing and validating new testing methodologies in collaboration with leadership.• Contribute to the implementation and updates of laboratory procedures and safety protocols, ensuring team awareness of any changes.• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding project timelines, delays, or client-related concerns.• Coordinate ordering and inventory of laboratory supplies to support uninterrupted workflow.• Participate in ongoing learning opportunities and share knowledge with team members to promote continuous improvement.QUALIFICATIONS• Prior laboratory experience is required, ideally within a clinical, medical, or scientific setting.• Ability to perform testing procedures with attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures.• Strong understanding of quality control practices and documentation standards.• Experience training or supporting team members in a lab environment is a plus.• Comfort working in a structured environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.• No licensure required.BENEFITS• Opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced laboratory techniques and methodologies.• Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with project management and laboratory leadership.• Stable schedule with consistent second-shift hours (Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).• Chance to build leadership experience through training and mentoring responsibilities.• Strong potential for career growth within a structured and quality-driven laboratory environment.
