Adecco is hiring Assemblers to work with our client located in Enfield, CT. These are long term opportunities with potential for temp to hire. These positions are on the day shift 7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30p. Pay rates range from $18 - $20/hr depending on experience and department. If your skills match the job duties below, please apply now!Position SummaryThe Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role ensures that products are built safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble components according to work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawingsInstall mechanical parts including housings, impellers, seals, bearings, shafts, and fastenersPerform torqueing, alignment, and fit-up procedures to specificationConduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are metPerform functional testing of assembled cooling pumpsIdentify and report defects, non-conformances, or equipment malfunctionsMaintain accurate production and quality documentationFollow all safety policies and proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve assembly issuesSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and qualityQualifications, Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required1–3 years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferredTechnical SkillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring instrumentsBasic understanding of mechanical systems and componentsAbility to follow detailed work instructionsSoft SkillsStrong attention to detailGood manual dexterityTeam-oriented with strong communication skillsAbility to work in a production environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsLift up to 40–50 lbs as requiredFrequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motionUse of required PPEWork EnvironmentManufacturing / production floor environmentExposure to machinery, noise, and industrial equipmentClimate-controlled or non-climate-controlled facility depending on locationBenefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401k plan.
