The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time.DescriptionThe Office of Inspector General, Division of Audits and Investigations is the investigative arm of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS). We conduct numerous types of investigations, which require critical thinking and research into various Cabinet policies and procedures as well as State and Federal laws. Our most vital role is to safeguard the assets of the Cabinet. We do this by both investigating and preventing against waste, fraud, and abuse.The Compliance Branch is responsible for investigating fraud, waste and abuse of Cabinet programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Li Heap, and other benefit programs offered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Our office is also responsible for employee and Cabinet contractor investigations to maintain the integrity of the Cabinet.The Human Services Program Branch Manager, under statutory authority, supervises investigators who conduct administrative, civil and criminal investigations to prevent, identify and eliminate fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement. This position will also conduct professional level investigations regarding Medicaid billing.Responsibilities And Duties Oversees the management of investigators and other staff who conduct numerous types of investigations and research into the Cabinet's SNAP, Medicaid, LiHeap, and any other benefit programs, policies and procedures as well as State and Federal Laws. Approves leave requests and timesheets, evaluates Human Services Program Supervisor, Fraud hotline staff, and assists Supervisor with personnel issues within the branch. Ensures compliance with personnel and division policies and procedures Provides investigative and technical assistance to supervisors and staff on SNAP, Medicaid and LiHeap programs. Provides training to staff, agencies, and entities concerning branch responsibilities. Coordinates all training within the branch. Analyzes and makes recommendations concerning branch operations and programs associated with branch activities.
