Professor - Associate Degree Nursing

POSITION TITLE: Professor, Associate Degree Nursing EMPLOYMENT TERM: Full-time, 9-month positionBEGINNING DATE: August 15, 2026 LOCATION:   Carthage CampusRESPONSIBILITIES: Competence in clinical/simulation instruction and student supervision, classroom teaching, and curriculum development. This position demands adaptability in teaching methods to effectively apply competencies within a nursing conceptbased curriculum, catering to diverse learning styles and needs. Medical/Surgical experience preferred. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: advising students, participating in and chairing committees, recruiting students, instruction of non-credit courses when needed, serving as a sponsor of student organizations and building a positive public image for the program. Reliable transportation required. Willingness to sponsor and/or support student activities outside of class. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing; 2. Master’s degree with at least six graduate nursing hours or progress toward Master’s degree near completion; 3. Current Texas license as Registered Nurse (or eligible to secure license); 4. Three years of full-time Registered Nursing experience; 5. and a commitment to the philosophy of associate degree nursing education.COMPENSATION: The salary offered will be commensurate with educational background and work experience.BENEFITS: Group Health and Life Insurance, Educational Retirement, Social Security, Optional – Disability, Additional Life, AD&D, and Dental Insurance. 60-day waiting period.
