Department: EngineeringLocation: East Brunswick, NJCompensation: $180,000 - $240,000 / yearDescriptionArtheon is seeking a strategic Director of Structures to lead our structural engineering practice within our infrastructure business. Artheon brings together several established consulting engineering firms including Churchill Consulting Engineers, CME Associates, and Naik Consulting Group, forming a collaborative organization of more than 600 professionals delivering complex infrastructure solutions across transportation, utilities, and public works.This role will be responsible for driving technical excellence, leading high-performing teams, and delivering complex structural projects that support critical transportation and infrastructure systems.As a key member of the leadership team, you will help shape the strategic direction of the structures practice, strengthen client relationships, and position the firm for continued growth across priority markets.ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Practice GrowthLead and grow a multidisciplinary structural engineering team across major infrastructure marketsProvide strategic direction, resource planning, and operational leadership for the structures groupFoster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvementProject DeliveryOversee the delivery of complex structural design projects including bridges, transit systems, tunnels, and major public infrastructureEnsure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectationsServe as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor on key pursuits and projectsClient EngagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with public agencies and key clientsSupport major pursuits, proposals, and interviews, contributing to win strategiesRepresent the firm as a technical leader in the marketplaceTechnical ExcellenceDrive innovation in structural design, materials, and delivery methodsEnsure adherence to QA/QC processes and regulatory requirementsEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, ACI, AISC, local agency requirementsStay current with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license strongly preferred15+ years of structural engineering experience, including leadership of teams and complex projectsExtensive experience with NJDOT, NJTA, and/or other major transportation agenciesDemonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure or transportation projectsStrong knowledge of structural design standards and regulatory requirementsProven ability in client management, project delivery, and business developmentExperience working with public agencies and alternative delivery methods (DB, CM/GC, P3) is a plusBenefitsArtheon offers a competitive compensation package including medical, prescription, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, educational assistance program and paid time off/parental leave.
