Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a well-established property management firm to identify an experienced Accounting Manager for an immediate engagement. This role will play a critical part in overseeing property-level accounting, strengthening financial processes, and supporting ongoing audit and reporting initiatives across a diverse real estate portfolio.This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who can step in quickly, assess current workflows, and drive accuracy and efficiency across multiple entities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of properties, including retail, commercial, and/or multifamily assetsReview and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsLead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reportingAnalyze and reconcile general ledger activity; identify and resolve discrepancies across multiple entitiesSupport internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standardsImplement and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting workflowsSupervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and oversight on deliverablesPartner cross-functionally with property managers, asset managers, and leadership to support financial decision-makingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the portfolioQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus in real estate/property management.Proven experience managing multiple entities or property portfoliosStrong knowledge of financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and account reconciliationsPrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredExperience with property management/accounting systems such as Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, QuickBooks, or Rent Manager is a plusAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a hands-on approachBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.California residents: Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.If you would like to complete our voluntary self-identification form, please click here or copy and paste the following link into an open window in your browser: https://jobs.beaconhillstaffing.com/eeoc/Completion of this form is voluntary and will not affect your opportunity for employment, or the terms or conditions of your employment.
