The community is managed by Calvary Street Management, a subsidiary of Gilbane Development Company.Livingston Place Assisted Living is currently seeking compassionate, professional, and experienced full-time or part-time Personal Care Aides to join our team. In this role, Personal Care Aides are responsible for delivering high-quality care and support, ensuring each resident's comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. Ideal candidates demonstrate kindness, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.This position requires a strong understanding of, and commitment to, the principles and values of our community. Successful candidates will have a caring nature, a respectful approach, and a genuine willingness to support and care for elderly residents. Current Part-time or Full-Time opening shifts:Day Shifts (7 A - 3:30 P)Evening Shifts (3:30 P - 11 P)Overnight Shifts (11 P - 7:30 A)ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Assists with all of the care needs a resident might requireMaintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee's informationNotifies the nurse on duty, Director of Nursing, or Executive Director of resident changes of condition.Assists in the dining room during meal times including, but not limited to, set up, take meal/beverage orders, serve, bus tablesAssists with activities when required and/or be responsible for getting the residents to scheduled activitiesResponsible for getting residents ready and to the lobby for scheduled appointmentsWill be aware of what constitutes a change of condition and report to Licensed Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing immediatelyCapable of taking accurate vital signs and weightsCapable of assisting in-care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 poundsKeeps current on First Aid/CPRAttend and participate in the scheduled mandatory in-services and other scheduled meetingsPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or any other management staffQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONValid DC - Certified Nursing Assistant license or DC- Home Health Aide certificateHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred2+ year of previous experience requiredValid First Aid/CPR certifications; training providedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESMust possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clientsBasic understanding of medical terminologyProficient in the English language#CalvarySalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.For Washington, DC this ranges from $43,680.00-$47,840.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
