This is a highly visible, hands‑on role partnering closely with ownership and senior leadership, with significant impact on financial performance and operational decision‑making.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, job cost accounting, WIP, and financial reportingPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage percentage‑of‑completion accounting and project costing for civil construction projectsLead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementEnsure accuracy and timeliness of financial data across multiple projectsMaintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policiesPartner with project leadership to analyze profitability, cost trends, and operational performanceManage and develop accounting staff as the organization growsSupport leadership with financial insights to drive strategic decision‑makingQualifications8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including construction or project‑based accountingStrong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage‑of‑completion accountingPrior experience in civil construction strongly preferredProven ability to operate in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environmentStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsStable work history with demonstrated longevity and accountabilityCompensation & Benefits$150K–$175K base salaryAnnual bonus of 30%–150%, based on company performance3 weeks PTO to startBenefits packageLong‑term stability with a well‑established, family‑owned organization
