End User Computing (EUC) Engineer

Role SummaryThe End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is responsible for engineering, managing, securing, and optimizing the enterprise end user technology environment. This role oversees the configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of desktops, mobile devices, applications, operating system images, and related EUC platforms including Intune, SCCM/MECM, Active Directory, and JAMF.The ideal candidate will ensure reliable end user services, maintain compliance with organizational standards, and drive continuous improvement across workplace technology environments.Key Responsibilities1. Standard Operating Environment (SOE)Create and maintain SOE images aligned with enterprise standards.Develop and manage new SOE configuration image projects.Maintain and update existing software images.Perform unit testing and quality assurance for image deployments.Validate software compatibility and identify conflicts/issues.Conduct malware protection activities during image creation.Perform installation, integration, and functional testing.Update ITSM records upon successful image execution.Maintain detailed documentation for SOE configurations and build procedures.2. Platform Engineering (Intune Administration)Recommend EUC platform standards, architecture, and design improvements.Provide recommendations for desktop application portfolio optimization and consolidation.Test compatibility of new standards against existing infrastructure.Document and manage exceptions to enterprise standards.Conduct product and tool evaluations for EUC technologies.Track and document activities within ITSM platforms.3. Software Distribution & Management (Intune / SCCM / MECM)Develop standards for software packaging and distribution.Create deployment-ready software packages (MSI, Intunewin, etc.).Conduct pre-deployment testing for all software packages.Ensure software license compliance across deployments.Schedule and execute enterprise software deployments.Monitor deployment success rates and resolve installation failures.Maintain up-to-date software distribution documentation.Generate deployment metrics and performance reports.4. Mobile Device Management (Intune MDM)Configure and administer the Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.Develop and maintain device enrollment procedures.Configure and manage device security policies and compliance rules.Deploy and manage mobile applications.Monitor compliance status and generate compliance reports.Provide user support for mobile device enrollment and configuration.Maintain MDM process documentation.5. Active Directory ManagementImplement and maintain Active Directory security controls.Monitor AD services, performance, and policy compliance.Create and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs).Optimize GPO structure, design, and performance.Conduct periodic AD health checks.Generate AD security and compliance reports.Maintain comprehensive Active Directory documentation.6. Apple Device Management (JAMF)Administer and maintain JAMF Pro for macOS and iOS devices.Create and deploy configuration profiles and policies.Package, test, and deploy macOS applications.Integrate JAMF with identity and security systems as needed.Monitor device compliance and inventory management.Troubleshoot enrollment and device management issues.Maintain documentation for JAMF-related configurations and procedures.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with:Microsoft IntuneSCCM / MECMWindows OS EngineeringExperience with SOE image creation, maintenance, and deployment.Expertise in software packaging and endpoint security.Strong knowledge of:Active DirectoryGroup Policy ManagementIdentity and access servicesExperience with mobile device management and security compliance.Familiarity with JAMF administration for macOS/iOS environments.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong documentation and communication skills.DeliverablesDevelop and maintain process flows and operational documentation.Mentor client project team members and provide knowledge transfer.Participate as a primary, co-, or contributing author for project deliverables.Support data conversion and data maintenance activities.Recommend industry best practices and innovative EUC solutions.Provide alternative and out-of-the-box technical solutions.Deliver thought leadership along with hands-on technical support and configuration.Participate as an active member of the functional and technical teams.Perform additional duties as assigned.
