This position involves travel to various job sites across Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida , assisting with environmental cleanup, site remediation, and hazardous waste handling.Position SummaryThe Environmental Clean Up Specialist is responsible for assisting with environmental remediation, hazardous material handling, and site cleanup activities while maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in hazardous environments and must possess an active or recently active 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification .This role requires the ability to travel regularly and work in varying environmental conditions, supporting multiple projects across the region.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform environmental cleanup and remediation activities at industrial, construction, and environmental project sitesSafely handle, contain, and remove hazardous and non-hazardous materialsAssist with soil remediation, spill response, and waste collection activitiesOperate basic cleanup and environmental remediation equipment and toolsFollow site-specific health, safety, and environmental proceduresProperly package, label, and transport hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory guidelinesSupport decontamination procedures for personnel, equipment, and work zonesConduct general labor tasks related to site restoration and environmental complianceMaintain accurate documentation and reporting related to cleanup activitiesParticipate in daily safety meetings and follow all OSHA and site safety requirementsMinimum QualificationsActive or recently active 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (required)High School Diploma or GEDAbility and willingness to travel frequently to job sites across Mississippi, Georgia, and FloridaAbility to work in outdoor environments and potentially hazardous conditionsStrong commitment to safety and regulatory complianceAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasksValid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred QualificationsExperience working in environmental remediation, hazardous waste cleanup, or industrial site cleanupExperience with spill response or environmental restoration projectsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience operating environmental cleanup or light construction equipmentConfined space or other safety training certificationsWork EnvironmentOutdoor and industrial work environmentsExposure to varying weather conditionsPotential exposure to hazardous materials while utilizing appropriate PPEFrequent travel to project sites throughout the Southeast region#J-18808-Ljbffr
