ServiceNow Configuration Management Specialist

ServiceNow CMDB Administrator / DeveloperEmployment Type: Contract to Hire Location: Hybrid - Salt Lake City, UT - Open to Out-of-State Candidates Willing to RelocateWe are seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Administrator/Developer with 1–2+ years of experience for a contract-to-hire role. The position requires being onsite hybrid in Salt Lake City. Candidates outside Utah are strongly encouraged to apply if willing to relocate.This role supports a very large CMDB environment and requires a blend of CMDB administration, ServiceNow development, data integration, and CSDM expertise.ResponsibilitiesMaintain CMDB data accuracy, CI classification, and CSDM alignment.Build and manage CI relationships, service maps, and dependency models.Develop in ServiceNow across CMDB, ITSM, SAM, and related modules.Create Discovery patterns, scripts, IRE rules, and automation workflows.Import/export data to cloud platforms (AWS or similar).Generate CMDB health reports, dashboards, and data quality analytics.Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and cloud teams as CMDB SME.Participate in incident/change processes and provide after-hours support as needed.Required Qualifications1–2+ years as a ServiceNow CMDB Administrator.Experience with CSDM v4–v5.ServiceNow development skills including JavaScript.Data management and large-scale CMDB experience.Experience with AWS data integrations or cloud ingestion pipelines.Preferred QualificationsCIS – Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM) certification (strong plus).Additional ServiceNow certs (Admin, ITSM, Discovery, SAM).SQL DBA experience.AI/automation experience.ITIL v4, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Linux+.
