Facilities Engineer

*Facilities Engineer* Smart Precise Solutions (SPS) is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support Facilities & Utilities projects for clients in the medical device industry. This role will work with GMP and non-GMP systems in regulated environments, ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, and quality requirements. The engineer will perform field verifications, develop and update SOPs, review technical documentation, and collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, QA, EHS, and Validation teams. The position is primarily based in Puerto Rico, with travel to other client sites, including California, as business needs require. *Key Responsibilities* * Perform field verifications and walkdowns of Facilities & Utilities systems at client facilities. * Verify the operability of emergency generators and other critical backup systems, including UPS and electrical distribution. * Review GMP-supporting and non-GMP facility systems, including water systems, HVAC, HEPA filtration, BMS, electrical power, and fire protection. * Develop new SOPs and review and update existing procedures. * Review drawings, manuals, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency. * Identify documentation gaps and gather the technical information needed to address them. * Coordinate technical reviews with Engineering, Facilities, QA, EHS, and Validation teams. * Support Change Control and Document Control processes. * Maintain documentation trackers and status reports. * Participate in technical meetings, project progress presentations, and weekly client coordination calls. * Work collaboratively with another engineer to meet established project schedules. * Perform technical documentation and compilation work at the SPS office in Guaynabo. * Use company-authorized AI tools to support documentation drafting, technical research, and productivity, in compliance with confidentiality and information security policies. * Communicate project delays or risks to management and perform other related duties as assigned. *Requirements* * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. * Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in Facilities/Utilities within a regulated industry. * Experience writing and reviewing technical SOPs. * Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and document control. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation. * Practical knowledge of GMP-supporting and non-GMP facility systems. * Experience with water systems, HVAC, environmental controls, process utilities, electrical and power systems, and fire protection systems. * Experience verifying the operability of critical facility systems, including emergency generators. * Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), preventive maintenance, and Facilities Change Control. * Experience supporting projects in regulated industries, preferably medical devices, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Advanced Spanish and English communication skills. * Willingness to travel to client sites outside Puerto Rico, including California, as business needs require. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a regulated manufacturing environment.
