ACIBuilds.comSummary/ObjectiveWe are seeking an experienced Tekla Detailer to join our team and play a key role in producing high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings. Working under senior detailers, this position requires a strong understanding of fabrication and construction processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and fabricators.Essential FunctionsCreate detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for assigned projects using Tekla StructuresInterpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intentProduce shop drawings, erection drawings, material take-offs, generate BOMs/NC files, follow company drawing standards and QA checklistsCoordinate with senior detailers, engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiencyReview and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standardsManage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycleAssist in resolving design and fabrication issuesRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel)Advanced proficiency in Tekla StructuresStrong knowledge of AISC, or relevant industry standardsAbility to read and interpret construction documentsExperience with clash detection and coordinationExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel)Experience working with fabrication shops or on-site construction teamsFamiliarity with BIM workflows and integrationWork EnvironmentWorks in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment Position may require visits to construction siteFlexible work arrangements (if applicable)Physical DemandsThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machineTravelMay require infrequent travelVisit us at www.acibuilds.com for more information!Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerTekla Detailer
