Chemical Operator Pay rate: $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour Hours: Schedule: Full-Time M-F 07:30 - 16:00 | 40 - 45 hrs/week | Saturdays as needed (Rare) Location: Clearfield, UT Duration: 4 months Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Chemical Operator to support production and shipping operations in our chemical manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for both entry-level candidates eager to learn and experienced operators looking to apply and expand their skills in a regulated, safety-driven environment. Successful candidates will support production execution, quality control, and shipping and receiving activities while maintaining strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Key ResponsibilitiesExecute daily production plans using SAP while meeting safety, quality, and throughput standardsPerform production, packaging, shipping, and receiving tasks including loading/unloading tankers, railcars, totes, drums, and pailsOperate forklifts safely and comply with all dock safety requirementsConduct quality control checks and ensure all lab and QA procedures are followedPrepare, label, load, and ship customer orders in compliance with DOT regulationsReceive raw materials and finished goods, post transactions in SAP, and maintain accurate documentationParticipate in EHS programs, safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport inventory counts, housekeeping, maintenance reporting, and Kaizen actionsCommunicate production or delivery issues and recommend corrective actionsWork collaboratively to foster a best-in-class safety culture Skills and experience:Have strong mechanical, math, and technical aptitudeAre safety-conscious, dependable, and willing to learnAre comfortable using computers and learning systems such as SAPAre eager to work in a hands-on, team-oriented production environmentHave 2+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or distribution environmentAre comfortable executing production plans, handling hazardous materials, and meeting throughput targetsHave experience with SAP (Production or Inventory modules)Have had prior exposure to Lean 5S, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement culturesCan work independently while mentoring or coaching less experienced team member Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (required)Additional technical or college education is a plusComputer proficiency required (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience would be a plusStrong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skillsAbility to apply common-sense problem solving and follow detailed instructions is a mustPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in Utah's weather conditionsMust be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and maintain balance during shiftsRegularly lift 25 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.Exposure to chemicals (acids and bases), noise, vibration, heat, humidity, mechanical equipment, and fumesRequired use of PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, and face shield Benefits: (employee contribution) Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. #IND0526
