This role will own solutiondirection, architecture decisions, and technical accountability whileguiding a small onshore/offshore team through a cloud-native rewrite on MicrosoftAzure The ideal candidate bringsdeep expertise in .NET Core 8, C#, Azure, and microservices , with theability to reverse engineer and modernize complex insurance rating logic from legacy systems into scalable, maintainable cloud services. Stronginsurance domain knowledge—especially policy administration concepts —isrequired.RequirementsPrimary Skills &Qualifications (Must-Have)8–12+years of software engineering experience with demonstrated techlead or architect responsibilitiesC# /.NET Core (client stack: .NET Core 8)Microservicesarchitecture and backend/API developmentSQLand data access patternsProvenexperience with legacy code refactoring and modernizationFamiliaritywith service mesh concepts in microservices architecturesInsurancedomain knowledge with understanding of policy administration conceptsand terminologyStrongcommunication skills and experience leading distributedonshore/offshore teamsPreferred Skills(Nice-to-Have)Workers'Compensation insurance experienceDirectexperience with policy rating logic and rules-based systemsExperiencesupporting transition from project delivery to BAU/run teamsExposureto Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-codeDiversity Inclusion:Exavalu also promotes flexibility, adapting to the needs of employees, customers, and the business.
