Hardware ManufacturingTechnical and Trade SchoolsVocational Rehabilitation ServicesCommercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and LeasingMachinery, Equipment, and Supplies Merchant WholesalersJob Title: Forge Shop OperatorDepartment: Forge ShopFLSA Status: Hourly $18-20 per hourSUMMARY: Dyson Corporation is seeking candidates with the passion to learn how to operate large forge & presses equipment, operate forklift, use calipers and maintain dimensional data records.Key responsibilities:Set up and operate forging machines to perform hot-forging operations.Install, adjust, and remove dies and components using cranes, hoists, and hand tools.Maintain safe and efficient operation while meeting production and quality standards.Safety Requirements:Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.Maintain awareness around hot metal, heavy machinery, and mobile equipment.Inspect tools, dies, forklifts, and PPE before use.Required qualifications:Comfortable lifting and moving items that weigh up to about 50 pounds.Able to handle the physical parts of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.Can read and make sense of technical drawingsPreferred skills:Prior experience working in manufacturing or operating machinery.Background as a Forge Operator is a plus.Strong skills in diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues.Comfortable using precision measuring tools with accuracy.Dyson Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
