Location: Main Hospital Bldg - BasementPrimary PurposeProvides comprehensive communication and swallowing rehabilitative services to facilitate the patient's ability to recover and return to an independent living environment.EducationMust meet the academic and clinical experience requirements of a master's degree in Speech - Language Pathology from an accredited university.ExperienceNoneCertification/LicensureFellowship Only:Must have an intern license in Speech Language Pathology from the Texas State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology within 30 days of placement in job.Must have Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:American Heart AssociationAmerican Red Cross RescuerMilitary Training NetworkORSpeech/Language Pathologist OnlyMust be licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).Must have Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:American Heart AssociationAmerican Red Cross RescuerMilitary Training Network.Skills Or Special AbilitiesMust be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of pediatric and/or adult neurogenic language disorders, swallowing, aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice disorders, alaryngeal communication, articulation and normal language development.Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, patients and family members.Requisition ID: 987753
