Reporting to the business unit Controller with a dotted line to the business unit General Manager, this position is embed within the business unit to ensure the accuracy of the financial and cost information as well as provide management with the information and analysis to make decisions critical to the success of the business.Principle ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all accounting results and management reports, and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controlsManage the month close process for the business unitAnalyzing and evaluating data needed in forecasting, budgeting, and cost controlReport and present monthly financial results to management, properly explaining any variances against planDevelop and report division level KPI’sAssist in the development of standard costs and analysis of variancesAnalyze customer profit margins and gross margins, and explain any variances against planPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsAssist in the coordination of external auditsFacilitate the budget process in its entirety while being accountable for the financial presentation deliverable to the boardPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsCompetencies:Possess excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel.Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast-paced environment.Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesStrong communication skillsEducation/ExperienceB.S. AccountingCPA or MBA preferred3-5 years of increasingly responsible accounting experienceManufacturing experience a plusStrong knowledge of GAAPExcellent verbal and written skillsSAP experience a plusThe posted salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually.
