Job DescriptionAI ArchitectLocation: Irvine, CAWork Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in Irvine office, 1 day in Downtown LA office, 1 day remote)Preferred Candidate: CA LocalsContract Type: Long TermKey ResponsibilitiesBackend & Agent-Oriented Engineering:Build and maintain Python-based backend services supporting agent orchestration (supervisor/sub-agent patterns), APIs, and system integrations.Manage multi-step, asynchronous workflows.Apply strong engineering practices including testing, code quality, and error handling.AI / LLM-Enabled Application Development:Deliver LLM-enabled features end-to-end.Manage prompts and context, including structured outputs and validation.Data Engineering for Retrieval-Based Systems:Design and operate retrieval pipelines for grounding and context enrichment.Implement vector search, similarity retrieval, search index solutions, and object storage for source content/embeddings.Develop caching solutions for performance and scalability.Cloud-Native Delivery:Deploy and operate services primarily on AWS.Follow best practices for IAM and security, scalability, resiliency, availability, and CI/CD.Integration & UX Enablement:Integrate with enterprise tools via secure APIs and gateways.Support React-based front-end patterns and collaboration integrations.Observability & Operations:Implement logging, metrics, and tracing across agent workflows, model calls, and integrations.Support incident diagnosis, performance tuning, and ongoing optimization.Stakeholder Collaboration:Translate business use cases into technical designs and acceptance criteria.Communicate trade-offs regarding quality, cost, risk, and delivery timelines.
