Workflow Developer – Rapid Prototyping
Location: Norfolk, VA, USA – On-siteJob Type: Contract-BasedAn active Secret-level security clearance is required for this position.Are you a Low-Code Developer, Workflow Automation Developer, Digital Solutions Developer, or Rapid Prototyping Specialist who enjoys turning business problems into working digital solutions?This opportunity focuses on hands-on development, workflow automation, rapid prototyping and business-process digitization.What You'll Do:Build and test low-code/no-code applications, workflows and digital prototypes.Convert manual, spreadsheet, email and document-based processes into digital workflows.Work directly with users and process owners to understand requirements and improve processes.Develop workflow states, forms, validations, approvals, notifications and role-based functionality.Integrate applications with APIs, SQL/databases, web services and other data sources.Develop lightweight scripts or custom logic when platform configuration is not enough.Conduct user testing, collect feedback and continuously improve solutions.Rapidly develop proofs of concept, MVPs and operational pilots.Document requirements, workflows, integrations, business rules and technical dependencies.Prepare successful prototypes for transition, scaling or further development.Present solution findings, technical limitations and recommendations to stakeholders.What We're Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, Business IT or related field; or 5+ years of relevant experience.2+ years of hands-on low-code/no-code or configurable application development.Experience with workflow automation, digital process improvement and rapid prototyping.Experience using at least two non-Microsoft low-code/no-code or rapid-development platforms.Hands-on experience with APIs, SQL/databases, web services, scripting or data integration.Experience taking a solution from requirements → development → testing → user feedback → operational/pilot use.Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.Active NATO Secret Security Clearance required.
