Management Functions:· Provide direct patient care, address patient complaints related to medical care.· Provide clinical supervision of medical staff including charts review of providers as required by Texas Medical Board· Ensure integration of medical services into Ibn Sina Foundation's Community Clinics comprehensive services.· Maintain accurate and timely medical records.· Supervise and guide mid-level providers (NPs, PAs) and allied health staff as needed.· Lead medical staff and/or provider's meetings ensuring continue medical education to bring improvements.· Supervise all state and Federal funded programs, control quality of care and ensure appropriate care is provided to patients. Also, review patients' medical records and provide feedback and recommendations to the providers.· Represent Ibn Sina Community Clinics in state and/or private meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences.· Lead planning teams for the development of new clinical programs.· Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.· Promote patient safety protocols and infection-control standards.· Implement patient education and preventive care programs.Program Leadership & Administration· Direct and oversee the Family Medicine Residency Program in accordance with ACGME and institutional policies.· Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and educational activities.· Maintain accreditation by ensuring program compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies.· Manage program resources, budgets, and reporting requirements.· Supervise the clinical rotation of medical graduates and medical residents.Resident Education & Development· Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for residents.· Oversee recruitment, selection, evaluation, and graduation of residents.· Monitor resident performance, including clinical skills, academic progress, and professionalism.· Ensure regulatory compliance with all relevant academic and clinical training standards.· Ensure training activities meet Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)/Graduate Medical Education (GME) requirements.· Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes resident well-beingResearch & Clinical Trials · Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator (SI) in clinical trials and research studies.· Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and research protocols.· Oversee participant recruitment, informed consent, safety monitoring, and accurate data collection.· Collaborate with Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and regulatory authorities to ensure ethical and compliant research conduct.· Contribute to scholarly publications and dissemination of research findings. Quality Improvement & Patient Safety· Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.· Promote patient safety protocols and infection-control standards.· Implement patient education and preventive care programs.Administrative Functions:· Approval of medical practice procedures and policies.· Provide clinical guidance and reports to Executive Management on an as-needed basis.· Review clinical and patient care contracts for services to and by Ibn Sina Foundation ISF· Represent Ibn Sina Foundation at local medical societies, hospitals, professional organizations, groups, and agencies.· Provide supervisory support in all local statutory, state, and federal compliances and programs pertaining to medical practice in the State of Texas including X-rays registration, medical lab, VFC (vaccine for children program), medical vendors and other medical suppliers.Regulatory and Compliance:· Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with Ibn Sina Foundation and practice organizational policy, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.· Ensure adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting OSHA, HIPAA, DOL, TWC, and other regulatory bodies. Continually monitors exposure of practice.Qualifications:· Education: A Doctor of Medicine in Family Practice degree from an accredited Medical School.· Medical License: A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Texas· Board Certification: Candidates should hold board certification in family medicine, such as those recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). · Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience preferred.· Demonstrated teaching and supervisory experience with medical trainees.· Familiarity with ACGME/GME standards and ability to ensure regulatory compliance.· Training and/or experience in clinical trials; knowledge of GCP, FDA, and IRB requirements.· Proven leadership experience in academic program development or healthcare workforce training.· Strong communication, leadership, and patient-centered care skills.
