Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Burnsville, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth payroll operations while also contributing to other accounting and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:- Process and review invoices, ensuring alignment with purchase orders, subcontracts, and customer accounts.- Route subcontract invoices for approval and follow up on any unapproved or rejected items.- Oversee vendor setup procedures, including the collection and verification of W-9 documentation.- Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and reports to support accurate accounting records.- Handle employee file maintenance, review time cards, and process payroll efficiently.- Provide accounting and administrative support as needed to meet departmental goals.- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.- Assist in auditing tasks and provide reports as required.- Manage benefit administration tasks, including retirement plans and other employee benefits.- Utilize accounting software systems to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or payroll processing.- Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus.- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.- Proven organizational and time management skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.- Experience with eCMS software or similar accounting systems is advantageous.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
