SQL Server BI Developer
Position Overview:
The SSRS / SSIS Developer for a P&C Insurance company that will design, develop, enhance and support enterprise reporting and data integration solutions for a recent company aqusition. The developer will work heavily with SSRS, SSIS and T-SQL to deliver reliable reporting, ETL processes and data movement solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance and support SSRS reports and operational reporting solutions.
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot SSIS packages supporting ETL and data integration processes.
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and views.
- Gather reporting and data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain integrations between databases, applications and external systems.
- Troubleshoot failed ETL processes, reporting issues and data discrepancies.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation and root-cause analysis.
- Monitor scheduled SQL Server jobs and data integration processes.
- Improve the performance and reliability of existing reports, queries and ETL workflows.
- Participate in testing, deployment and production support.
- Document data mappings, ETL workflows, report specifications and support procedures.
- Partner with business analysts, developers, database teams and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working within the Microsoft SQL Server ecosystem.
- Strong hands-on SSRS development experience.
- Strong hands-on SSIS development experience.
- Advanced T-SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions and views.
- Experience building and supporting ETL and data integration solutions.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data structures.
- Experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues across source systems, ETL processes and reporting layers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

- Power BI reporting and dashboard development
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Data warehousing and dimensional modeling
- Star and snowflake schemas
- Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL
- Azure DevOps and Git/source control
- ERP, CRM, financial or operational system integrations
- Enterprise data governance or master data management
- Agile/Scrum development environments

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
