CDI Auditor

Job Description:Completing quality assurance reviews of patient medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentationAuditing records previously reviewed by Customer CDS consultantsReviewing charts for missed opportunities to capture greater specificity or clarify inconsistenciesEvaluating compliance of queries posed by Customer CDSReviewing not previously assessed accounts for improvement opportunitiesWorking with Customer systems and e4health Audit software to identify areas of risk and documentation opportunitiesAssisting in report writing as appropriateInteracting with Customers and team members effectivelyRequirements:Candidate must possess current ACDIS CCDS or AHIMA CDIP certificationCandidate must possess current RN License3+ years of clinical documentation improvement experience required with an acute care facility required2+ years of CDI auditing experienceCerner and Epic experienceThorough understanding of both MS and APR DRG methodologies and Compliant Query Practices as outlined by ACDIS/AHIMAStrong analytical skills to clinically evaluate the medical recordAbility to independently use multiple computer applications for medical record review along with proficiency utilizing Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to communicate effectively with e4health management and CustomersProficiency with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCSBenefits:e4health is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applications without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, age, disability, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected category.
