Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. This role provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who has a manufacturing background, exceptional leadership skills, and can achieve world-class performance in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.Whirlpool is looking for a proven leader for its Process Engineering team to directly lead the organization with the creation of ideas, project approvals, and execution of projects, collection of equipment data, and implementation of WCM. If you're able to lead in a high-volume manufacturing environment, have a bias for change to drive exceptional customer loyalty, have a thorough understanding of engineering principles, and are driven by providing leadership and motivation to others, then this may be a great position for you.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeDrive safety, quality, delivery, productivity and engagement of overall plant operations through effective leadershipDevelop and execute the EEM (Early Equipment Management) Pillar Provide guidance and coaching for WCM EEM / EPM pillarsDrive the WCM transformation through involvement in the strategic planning process and the execution of activities defined in that process Develop and lead the execution of manufacturing engineering strategic initiativesHelp set and implement the vision for the factory of the future (Factory Master Plan)Partner with product development teams to ensure the right technology and processes to support new products and to drive seamless product launches.Guarantee the best performance of the equipment (eliminating waste and increasing the OEE of CORE equipment).Facilitate & orchestrate technical focus to satisfy operational objectivesResponsible for the development and growth of engineers, technicians, and other members of the teamResponsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations (assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes)Drive root cause analysis through structured diagnoses of equipment failures utilizing standard tools techniques and proceduresUtilize project management principles to deliver projects on time and within budgetUtilize strong change management capabilities and tools for process changesMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field5+ years of manufacturing experiencePreferred Skills And ExperiencesMBA preferredLeadership experience in a large manufacturing environment (2+ years)Strong understanding of World Class Manufacturing principles and methodologies Experience in WCM, Lean Manufacturing Methods, problem-solving techniques, TPM, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and Predictive and Preventative MaintenanceRead and interpret Mechanical Drawings, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Schematics, working knowledge of hydraulics, gearing, mechanical clutch and brake assemblies, welding, and fabricationExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict to a resolutionAdditional InformationWhirlpool’s Ways of WorkingBenefitsOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
