Graphic Artist
Millbrae, CAApril 1st, 2026
The Creative VisionWe are seeking an extraordinary Graphic Artist/Designer who functions as a multidisciplinary artist. We are moving beyond the limitations of traditional digital interfaces to create a guided experience that feels closer to digital art than corporate product design. This role is for a creator who approaches the web as a medium for experimentation and personal expression. The RoleYou will be responsible for creating bold, idiosyncratic visual systems. You will not be building enterprise dashboards or traditional UI/UX flows. Instead, you will work within a defined, rule-based visual language to design visual moments that span both digital and physical realms. What You'll DoVisual World-Building: Design iconography, typography treatments, and patterns for a consumer-facing mobile application.Physical & Digital Fusion: Take ownership of translating digital experiences into physical merchandise, packaging, print, and collectible items.System Evolution: Master an established brand identity and push its creative boundaries into new territories and mediums.Brand Collateral: Create high-impact graphics for marketing, social media, and physical environmental placements.Constrained Creativity: Execute pixel-perfect work within a "rule-based" design system, finding ways to innovate within specific constraints.Who You AreArtist First: You possess a portfolio of "truly novel work" that demonstrates depth, diversity, and a unique aesthetic point of view.Execution-Focused: You are a hands-on creator who thrives on "the hunger to create" and can iterate quickly on a strong existing vision.Multidisciplinary: You are equally comfortable designing for a screen as you are for a physical object or a print layout.Unorthodox Stylist: You prefer bold, idiosyncratic, and interactive artifacts over "safe" or familiar corporate design.Requirements & PreferencesExperience: 5+ years of professional experience (or a portfolio so exceptional that years become irrelevant).Artistic Pedigree: Ideally, you have a background from top design agencies/studios or prestigious design schools (e.g., Parsons, Pratt, RISD).Technical Leanings: Experience creating pixel art or working within highly constrained, rule-based visual systems is a significant advantage.Non-Tech Influence: Experience designing for non-tech industries (fashion, editorials, luxury, publishing) is highly valued.Location: Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days a week.
