This role owns the executive relationship, business outcomes, and long-term value strategy for a portfolio of accounts. You will work with clients to understand their goals, frame business problems, shape solution roadmaps, and ensure engagements deliver measurable value over time.This is not a day-to-day project management role. Delivery leaders and project managers run execution cadence, delivery planning, and operational controls. Account Executives own commercials and closing. The Engagement Director brings the strategic layer: executive alignment, advisory leadership, outcome governance, escalation ownership, and growth-oriented partnership.What You’ll Be Working OnOwn executive stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior client leadersBuild and maintain account strategies tied to measurable business outcomesLead discovery and advisory workshops, including problem framing, value stream mapping, OKR definition, DevEx, SDLC, ITSM modernization, and operating model discussionsTranslate client needs into clear narratives covering current state, target outcomes, roadmap, solution approach, risks, adoption needs, and value hypothesesPartner with Account Executives on opportunity shaping, account planning, growth strategy, renewal, expansion, and executive positioningOrchestrate the right delivery squads and subject matter experts, including solution architects, enterprise architects, change/adoption specialists, and reporting or data expertsGovern delivery outcomes through steering committees, executive check-ins, strategic risk management, escalation leadership, and outcome trackingStay engaged through key moments in the client lifecycle, including pre-sales, kickoff, discovery, solution design, delivery quality checkpoints, escalations, close-out, and renewal or expansion discussionsTrack engagement outcomes, benefits, and success metrics with clients and internal teamsMaintain strategic visibility into engagement margin, cost, and consumption risks, and work with delivery and commercial teams to address issues earlyIdentify and shape change-order or expansion opportunities in partnership with delivery and commercial teamsEnsure knowledge is captured from engagements, including lessons learned, reusable assets, case studies, reference architectures, and value proof pointsCo-create repeatable IT services offers and playbooks that strengthen Valiantys' advisory and delivery capabilities. Do you have what it takes to be our new Engagement Director?5+ years of experience leading strategic client engagements in IT services, consulting, enterprise software, digital transformation, or a related fieldStrong executive presence and the ability to build trust with senior business and technology stakeholdersA consultative approach to problem framing, discovery, roadmap creation, and value realizationAbility to connect business outcomes with technical delivery, operating model change, adoption, and measurable impactExperience partnering with sales, delivery, project management, solution architecture, and technical teamsStrong facilitation skills, including the ability to run discovery sessions, executive workshops, steering committees, and outcome reviewsComfort operating across the full engagement lifecycle, from pre-sales and opportunity shaping through delivery governance, escalation, close-out, and expansionStrong judgment around delivery risk, client expectations, scope boundaries, and executive communicationAbility to turn client work into repeatable assets, offers, playbooks, and reference stories. Preferred ExperienceExperience in Atlassian, ITSM, DevEx, SDLC modernization, enterprise service management, cloud, data/reporting, or digital workplace transformationExperience building business cases, adoption strategies, value measurement plans, or multi-year transformation roadmapsExperience working in a services organization where delivery, sales, and advisory teams collaborate closely. How This Role Works With OthersAccount Executives own pricing, commercials, SOW finalization, and closing. The Engagement Director partners with them on the solution storyline, value hypothesis, account strategy, and executive pitchDelivery leadership owns staffing and day-to-day execution quality. The Engagement Director governs outcomes, senior alignment, and strategic riskProject Managers own the engagement plan, cadence, timeline, budget, RAID log, and day-to-day client communication.
