Reports To:Assistant Director, Clinical Content Date:April 1, 2026 Salary Range: $76,000 - $114,000 per year POSITION SUMMARY The Clinical Content Manager supports the development, execution, and management of evidence-based oncology education and clinical content across digital, print, multimedia, and event-based platforms. This role combines medical writing, editorial leadership, and project coordination responsibilities to ensure accurate, high-quality educational materials for multidisciplinary healthcare professional audiences. Working collaboratively with internal teams, faculty, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders, the Clinical Content Manager translates complex scientific and clinical information into accessible, implementation-focused educational content aligned with organizational standards and program objectives. This position serves as a working subject matter contributor responsible for managing clinical content workflows, leading assigned education portfolios, and ensuring scientific accuracy and editorial quality throughout the content development lifecycle. The Clinical Content Manager contributes to departmental planning and execution by supporting clinical education strategy and continuous improvement of content development processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities listed below represent the primary functions of the role and include, but are not limited to, the following. Clinical Content Development Conduct literature reviews across disease states, therapeutic advances, and clinical research topics. Interpret and apply evidence-based medical literature, clinical practice guidelines, and scientific data. Develop accurate clinical content for digital, print, video, and event deliverables. Write, edit, and revise educational materials independently throughout project lifecycles. Ensure adherence to organizational editorial standards and AMA style guidelines. Perform comprehensive fact-checking to ensure scientific and clinical accuracy. Serve as editorial lead for assigned provider education program portfolios (including deliverables such as articles, blogs, publications, abstracts, manuscripts, tip sheets, infographics, slides, etc.) Participate in project kickoff meetings and ongoing cross-functional planning discussions. Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Collaborate with faculty, peer reviewers, and internal teams to incorporate feedback. Publications & Conference Content Review and revise abstracts, posters, and conference materials. Support development of Oncology Issues feature articles and related editorial content. Develop blog content highlighting education initiatives and clinical insights. Attend conferences or events as assigned to capture educational highlights and develop related materials. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure content aligns with evidence-based standards and clinical accuracy requirements. Support development of promotional educational materials consistent with industry and regulatory expectations. Maintain compliance with editorial standards and applicable healthcare communication guidelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal departments and professional services teams to support program success. Interface with clients, faculty, and key thought leaders during project discussions. Identify opportunities to improve workflows and collaboration across teams. Contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and timely delivery of editorial deliverables. Travel requirement: Occasional travel to professional meetings or conferences as assigned (5-10%). REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Clinical & Scientific Expertise Ability to interpret clinical research and translate scientific information into practical educational content. Strong understanding of evidence-based medicine and clinical communication principles. Editorial & Communication Skills Advanced writing, editing, and content development skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree required; science or healthcare-related field preferred. Demonstrated experience translating clinical or scientific information into educational materials. Experience in medical writing, clinical communications, or provider education environments preferred. Preferred Advanced degree in health or scientific discipline. Oncology-focused medical writing or clinical education experience. Experience interpreting clinical trial data and practice guidelines. Experience collaborating with faculty, advisory boards, or multidisciplinary oncology stakeholders.
