The consultant collaborates across VHA program offices and field operations to define shared goals, manage competing priorities, and deliver integrated solutions within optimized platforms of care delivery.This role requires an agile approach to leading multiple, concurrent initiatives aligned with priorities that evolve in response to the needs of VHA and Veterans. Much of the work is complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous, frequently driven by emerging healthcare priorities, policy changes, and Presidential or Congressional mandates.Voyage Advisory provides Federal and commercial customers with solutions in many arenas. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed consultants who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor to client leadership and VHA stakeholders, providing practical, mission-focused supportPlan, manage, and execute enterprise-level healthcare transformation initiatives from concept through implementationLead and contribute to multiple concurrent projects, rapidly establishing structure, scope, and execution plansCoordinate across VHA program offices, field operations, and external partners to align goals, manage dependencies, and drive decisionsApply program management, industrial engineering, and healthcare systems engineering principles to design safe, comprehensive, and efficient solutionsDeliver enterprise program and project management services, often driven by legislation, policy changes, and executive directionIdentify and manage risks, resource constraints, and budget considerations across competing prioritiesProduce high-quality, executive-ready deliverables that inform decisions and advance mission outcomesAdapt quickly as priorities shift, providing concierge-level support to leadership and program teamsQualifications3 to 8 years of experience in management consulting, healthcare transformation, or federal health programsBachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferredPreferred certifications include PMP, Prosci, Lean, and Human-Centered Design, or similarMS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) at an advanced levelDemonstrated experience supporting Veterans Health Administration or federal healthcare initiatives strongly preferredStrong program and project management capability with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder effortsAbility to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort engaging senior government leadersHighly organized, systematic, and proactive with strong follow-throughA roll up your sleeves doer who delivers without needing constant directionStrong communication and problem-solving skillsStrong customer service acumenTrusted executive-level advisory expertiseCoordinate across VHA program offices, field operations, and executive leadershipFacilitate stakeholder alignment and consensus buildingProduce high-quality briefings, decision papers, and presentations for senior leadersAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Why VoyageAt Voyage, we pride ourselves on bringing in consultants who are not only strong technically, but who elevate the client experience.
