Title: Senior Instructional DesignerLocation: Washington, DC 20005 (hybrid)Job Type: Contract to HireCompensation: $56.82/HR - $60.12/HR on W2Work Authorization: Candidate must be able to work in the US without sponsorshipObjective:Focuses on the systematic process employed to develop learning products for the organization through the analysis of learning/business needs, adult learning theory, partnering with subject matter experts, and the ongoing evaluation of programs to maintain accuracy and relevance. Learning products include online courses, instructional manuals, video tutorials, and learning simulations.Job Responsibilities:Designs, develops and delivers high quality Instructor-led, eLearning, and multimedia course materials including: course design documents, course outlines, course descriptions, presentation slides, diagrams, lab exercises, instructor guides, lab setup guides, job aids, and assessmentsCreates visually appealing products that adhere to branding guidelines utilizing graphic, authoring, and video production toolsPartners cross functionally to scope requirements, objectives, and deliver projects. Conducting front end analysis including needs assessment, task analysis, content analysis, and instructional analysisApplies instructional design principles, methodologies and adult learning theories for better learning experiencesOwns the end-to-end design and development process for assigned projects through consistent status updates, leading quality content/product reviews and lessons-learned discussions.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Instructional Design, Technology, Education or related field (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience)5+ years experience as an instructional designer, trainer or similar roleInstructional Design Expertise (ADDIE, SAM, adult learning principles)Authoring Tools: Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), Adobe Captivate, CamtasiaSCORM/xAPI standardsLearning technologies: LMS, Panopto, SharePoint, WellSaid LabsProject & program managementStrong communication and facilitation skillsData analysis & learning measurementExperience using graphic designProficient in Microsoft Office applications System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
