Brunch Chef

Overview Looking to fill the position immediately. We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our brunch bistro team. The ideal candidate will have a background in pastry arts and a love for creating delicious and consistent meals. As our Brunch Chef you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring that all pastries and brunch items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with owner to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and brunch items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with the team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal menu items. Decorate pastries and desserts with creativity and attention to detail for visual appeal. Manage inventory of baking supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Assist in training junior kitchen staff on pastry techniques and best practices. Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests or dietary restrictions related to desserts. Experience Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on catered lunches, baking techniques, pastry preparation, and food presentation. Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent knife skills and proficiency with various kitchen equipment used in pastry preparation. A passion for creating innovative daily specials, seasonal menus and pastries that delight customers.
