Sr. Java Developer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Java programming, with strong expertise in Spring, Hibernate, and various related technologies. The role encompasses the development of RESTful APIs, utilizing OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Additionally, experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Next is desired. Key Responsibilities: Java Development: Proficiency in Java is a must, as you will be responsible for building and maintaining Java-based applications. Spring Framework: Strong knowledge of the Spring framework is essential for designing and developing robust and scalable applications. Hibernate: You will be working with Hibernate for efficient database interaction and management. JPA / Spring Data JPA / Repository: Utilize these technologies for data access and management. Database Management: Experience with at least one of the following databases is preferred: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. RESTful APIs: Design and develop RESTful APIs for seamless communication between various system components. OpenAPI / Swagger: Proficiency in creating and maintaining API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger. Front-end Development: Familiarity with React is preferred, though experience with Vue, Angular, or Next is also acceptable. React Custom Hooks: Knowledge of React custom hooks, such as useState and useEffect, is desired. Familiarity with Redux is also a plus. Java Design Patterns: Understanding of GoF (Gang of Four) design patterns is a valuable asset. Database Transactions: Possess a deep understanding of database transactions, including 2-phase commit, optimistic locking, and compensating transactions. Build Tools: Proficiency with Apache Maven for project build management. Spring Boot: Familiarity with Spring Boot is a good-to-have skill. OAuth 2: Knowledge of OAuth 2 for authentication and authorization is beneficial. Postman: Experience with Postman for API testing and development. Accounting/Bookkeeping Concepts: Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping concepts, such as journal entries, debit, credit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash vs. accrual accounting, is a plus. Collaboration Tools: Minor familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for efficient team collaboration.
