Quality Engineer 2

JOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is looking for a Quality Engineer, level 2, for a leading provider of complex composites, assemblies, and tooling in the aerospace industry. This is a direct hire role, located in Brea, CA. Job responsibilities will include:· Develop and maintain quality plans to ensure compliance with customer, contract, and AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements across manufacturing· Perform product testing and inspection (systematic and random), including source inspection, drawing/GD&T interpretation, and use of precision measurement tools.· Manage nonconformances, MRB activities, and preliminary dispositions; drive timely corrective actions and respond to customer CARs.· Create, manage, approve and obtain customer approvals for First Article Inspections (AS9102) and product certification packages within customer portals in coordination with Program Managers.· Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Customers to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts· Attend daily Tier and quality meetings, track/report quality performance metrics, and support internal audits (with audit training as needed)REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBA Degree5+ years of Quality experienceFamiliar with AS9100 and ISO9001 and industry standardsExperience leading root cause analysis of production and material processes and problemsContract review of customer purchase orders to ensure full understanding and compliance with quality and engineering requirementsAnalyze audit results to determine appropriate corrective and preventative actions, including reviewing and responding to customer corrective action requests.Prior experience with GD&TGreat communication
