Seasonal Warehouse Associate

SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse Assistance (50% of the job) • Assists with the receiving and inspecting of deliveries, following purchase order and other specifications • Stores products in designated areas within the warehouse in a proper and efficient way • Picks and packs orders for shipment, following shipping orders, with proper packing and labeling procedures • Prepares orders for shipment by wrapping and staging items on pallets in a proper and safe way • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping and taking out the trash • Adheres to all safety procedures and policies, including the proper use of equipment, materials, and lifting techniques Light Assembly and Stocking (50% of the job) • Maintains minimum inventory by processing select items in an accurate way • Responds as needed to inventory needs for select orders to ensure on-time delivery • Inspects select items for quality and reports defects to Supervisor • Conducts cycle counts according to established schedules to ensure accurate inventory • Initiates communication with other teams to report on inventory levels, special orders, etc. to meet the needs of the team and customers EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • 0-2 Years of Experience - can operate established processes and work with Supervisor to meet daily goals • High School Diploma or GED required FUNCTIONAL SKILLS • Strong attention to detail • Skilled at working in a digital environment • Able to navigate basic functions of ecommerce POS system • Solid math skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS • Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen frequently • Ability to read and respond due to nature of the work on a frequent basis • Ability to listen, read, write, and speak English fluently • Ability to stand at a desk workstation frequently • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull, and carry items frequently • Ability to use hands and fingers and to reach for and handle objects to perform tasks frequently • Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus • Cognitive and reasoning ability to read, review, and interpret work processes on a frequent basis • Lifting up to 60 lbs. occasionally EQUIPMENT USED • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and printers. • This role may require the operation forklifts, carts, dollies and pallet jacks occasionally. • This role routinely uses basic hand tools and other equipment such as: screwdrivers, auto tape dispensers, and auto strapping devices. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & TRAVEL • The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment and an operations facility, with varying levels of noise. • The employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs, or steel-toed shoes.
