This state-of=the-art facility and Level III trauma center has a large service area. The annual volume for this department is approximately 13,000, but the acuity is very high consisting of many major trauma cases and acute cardiac patients. There is an excellent payor mix with extensive surgical backup. Physicians work 8 and 12 hour shifts with PA extender coverage on weekends and holidays.
