The Junior Accounting Associate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Key responsibilities include working on accounts payable and receivable, general ledger work, and supporting Weitron clients with invoicing and questions related to. The role will require close collaboration with the overall accounting team and production teams to ensure accurate financial statements and contribute to overall financial strategy.Key Responsibilities:Ensure that financial information is presented accurately, internally and externallyDemonstrate knowledge and implementation of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Maintain key internal controls within the accounting process to ensure compliance and accurate reportingPrepare account reconciliations, including the timely investigation of discrepancies and reconciling itemsProvide reporting support, information, and analysis to support the company's financial requirements and goals, ensuring data integrityVerify customer invoicing to ensure the company is billing according to contractual requirementsProvide excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer requests and questionsQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or, an Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 1 - 3 years of relevant experienceStrong knowledge of financial accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reportingProficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically, Excel, and accounting softwareAdvanced time management skill and the ability to prioritize critical projects, pivoting when needed based on business requirementsExperience with accounts payable and accounts receivableKeen attention to detail and ability to perform accurate financial reconciliationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skill with a focus on customer experience
