Engineer II - Drainage

RK&K is hiring Drainage Engineers to join our successful and growing central Florida team. This position is in Tampa or Lakeland Florida. As a Drainage Engineer with RK&K, your responsibilities will include working with a team of engineers on the design of assigned projects. Projects will include, but not be limited to, support of local and statewide efforts in stormwater management and drainage design with an emphasis on scour, hydrology and hydraulics for transportation related projects. Clients include the Florida Department of Transportation and several municipalities. This position offers a hybrid work environment.Essential FunctionsDesign and analysis of drainage and stormwater management systemsDesign and analysis of wet and dry pondsDesign and analysis of floodplain compensation sitesPrepare design documentation Prepare environmental permit drawingsWork with other disciplines on creative solutions to design challengesCoordinate with clients and sub-consultants  Required Skills And ExperienceBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related fieldMinimum Two (2) of experience in transportation engineering with a focus in drainage design Engineering Intern (E.I.) license in Florida or ability to obtain within six (6) months Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design experienceOpen Roads Designer (ORD)/FDOT Connect experiencePreferred Skills And ExperienceFour (4) plus years of experience in water resourcesOther DutiesThis job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA).
