Job Title: GCP Data EngineerLocation: Columbus, OH / Las Colinas, TX (Preferred: Dallas, TX)Duration: 12+ MonthsVisa: USC, GC, TN, H4-EAD, L2-EAD, H1BPay Rate:H1B: $54/hr$58/hr (USC, GC, TN, H4-EAD, L2-EAD)Job DescriptionThis position is focused on IAM Data Lake – Data Engineering responsibilities.We are seeking a GCP Data Engineer with hands-on experience designing and building Data Lakes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using modern big data tools and technologies. Experience with Hadoop/HDFS is highly preferred.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of Google Cloud architecture, including:Bucket structuringNaming standardsLifecycle management policiesAccess control mechanismsHands-on experience working with columnar data formats:ParquetAvroORCAssociated compression strategiesExperience building both:Batch ingestion pipelinesStreaming ingestion pipelinesusing GCP-native servicesKnowledge of Pub/Sub-based streaming architectures, including:Event schema designSchema evolutionVersioning best practicesFamiliarity with:Incremental ingestion techniquesChange Data Capture (CDC) patternsUnderstanding of data consumption and exposure patterns, including:ViewsAPIsCurated analytical datasetsExperience with Hadoop/HDFS environments is highly desirable.ResponsibilitiesIn this contingent resource assignment, the candidate will:Consult on and participate in moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives and deliverables.Contribute to large-scale planning activities related to Information Security Engineering.Review and analyze moderately complex Information Security Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Assist in resolving complex technical issues while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.Collaborate closely with Information Security Engineering teams and client stakeholders.Required Experience4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:Work experienceConsulting experienceMilitary experienceTrainingEducation
