Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications for highway and traffic engineering projects (signals, signage, pavement markings).Perform and review studies on parking restrictions, sight distance, speed limits, and pavement markings.Design and analyze traffic control devises using Synchro, HSC, or similar software; develop signal timing plans.Optimize signal timing to improve efficiency and safety; assess operations under varying conditions.Conduct filed investigations and site visits to collect data and validate real-world conditions.Collaborate across departments and with clients to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes.Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules for municipal and commercial clients.Participate in staff, client, and public meetings; address technical and community concerns.Stay current with industry standards and technology advancements; apply best practices in traffic engineering.Ensure all designs and analyses comply with local, state and federal regulations.What You BringBachelor's degree in civil engineering, traffic engineering, or a related field3-8 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related disciplineValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to work effectively in both field and office settingsWillingness to travel locally throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areasProficiency with traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, Vissim, or similar)Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative, problem-solving mindsetPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtainExperience in project management and leading project teamsPlease NoteThis position is open to candidates currently residing in the United States with legal authorization to work.
