The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated commitment to a culture of excellence and innovation,with a strong background in operations (particularly as to HR technology).The Director of HR is a versatile, highly motivated and dedicated individual who thrives on solving complexchallenges, balancing priorities, instilling structure and organization to enable the company to achieve its business objectives. This role will focus on strengthening the HR function from the ground up establishing clear processes, systems, and tools to support employees and managers day-to-day. The ideal candidate is hands-on and action-oriented, ready to roll up their sleeves to tackle everything from payroll tasks to process design and employee relations. This position will play a key role in creating a strong foundation for future HR growth, while providing practical support and guidance across all people-related areas.The Director of HR will report to the HR/Compliance Lead. The job description below is only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Lead a team of 1 HR professional, but with opportunity and responsibility to build and manage an HRteam of up to 2-3 professionals.• Collaborate closely with department leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of people andculture support, as well as strategic objectives, and advise as to organizational structure and employeerelations needs.• Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and employees, serving as a living embodiment ofthe core values that drive excellence at the company.• Galvanize and educate leaders to execute people-related strategies, fostering continuous improvement inline with industry best practices by challenging workplace paradigms.• Deliver strategic people consulting services throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle, encompassingattraction, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development, retention and separation.• Proactively assess the development needs of teams and employees, offering recommendations andimplementing tailored solutions that empower employees to excel and drive growth.• Manage employee relations matters within the context of performance management, conflict resolution,investigations and employee concerns, while proactively devising strategies to address emerging trendswithin the industry.• Ensure compliance with all HR-related laws (including LOA, ADA, and applicable federal and stateregulations) in partnership with legal and compliance advisors.• Develop and implement HR strategies and processes to optimize operations and efficiency.• Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and other HR operational functions.• Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies with Recruiter to attract and retain top-tier talent.Qualifications:• Advanced knowledge, facility and understanding as to all people-related services, particularly as tocommunication, change management and underlying documentation.• Demonstrated exceptional organization and project management skills.• Demonstrated presentation skills, i.e., HR meetings, trainings, panels.• Advanced knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.• Demonstrated ability to handle extremely difficult and sensitive situations/individuals effectively.• Excellent project management and execution skills.• Thrives in a high-pressure environment and can manage multiple priorities.• Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team and business.• Self-directed with a high sense of urgency - a proactive and adaptable & "doer"; entrepreneurial andcomfortable operating with ambiguity and change; eager to learn and build;
