DescriptionJOB TITLE: Housing Properties RepairDEPARTMENT: Housing/PropertiesSUPERVISOR’S TITLE: BRS Housing ManagerPOSITIONS SUPERVISED: NoneJOB STATUS: Full Time; Non-ExemptSCHEDULE: Mon-Fri (8am-4pm) On call every 3rd WeekendSummaryPerform routine maintenance, repair, and property upkeep for BRS housing sites. Responsible for completing make-ready work, maintaining common areas and grounds, responding to service requests, supporting move-in/move-out needs, and reporting safety concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.Key Responsibilities Visit BRS housing properties to complete routine maintenance and repair tasks as assigned. Perform minor plumbing repairs, drywall repair, painting, lock changes, and general maintenance work. Maintain common areas, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, carpet shampooing, and cleaning walls, railings, fixtures, and other surfaces. Maintain playgrounds, lawn areas, sidewalks, and exterior property appearance, including snow removal when necessary. Prepare make-ready units by removing trash and property, cleaning appliances, fixtures, floors, windows, and ceilings, and completing needed repairs and painting. Perform preventive maintenance, inspect for safety hazards, and report or correct issues as needed. Change locks, handles, mailbox locks, door codes, and security system codes when required. Coordinate maintenance schedules and repair tasks with the Housing Manager. Complete move-in and move-out inspections and required paperwork. Complete tenant service requests promptly and document work completed, materials used, costs, and contractor information in housing software. Notify the Housing Manager immediately of any safety issues or violations encountered. Report tenant infractions to management as directed.Qualifications & Skills Ability to complete construction, repair, and maintenance work. Ability to organize and prioritize a daily maintenance schedule. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers, contractors, and the general public. Knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance work. Ability to maintain professional relationships and work independently. Knowledge of Housing Policy and Procedures preferred. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance requiredPhysical & Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and climb as needed. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments as required. Dependable transportation to travel to work sites when needed.Certifications & Training Requirements Participate in in-service training designed to maintain and improve job skills.
