Software Architect
Overview
In this role you will lead the software architecture for radar-based perception systems, contributing to autonomous and safety-focused mobility projects. You will drive AUTOSAR implementation, software integration, and optimization within an agile team at Aptiv’s Carmel, IN center. You will partner with cross-functional groups to address critical engineering challenges and help raise the bar on functional safety and cybersecurity. This is a chance to shape system architecture for next-generation mobility solutions.

ResponsibilitiesLead the SW architecture for radar sensors to satisfy functional safety, cybersecurity, and automotive standardsLead AUTOSAR OS bring-up and configuration, BSW, MCAL; develop/integrate CAN/Ethernet stacksDrive CPU optimization, memory layout, and interface designCollaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly build solutions for development challengesAssist developers with code and design reviewsOperate in an Agile software development environment
Key requirementsMaster’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering14+ years in Embedded or real-time software development, preferably AutomotiveExperience in Embedded Software ArchitectureStrong hands-on AUTOSAR BSW, MCAL, OS bring-up and configuration; CAN/Ethernet stacksExperience with Safety standards (ISO 26262) and implementationStrong embedded C/C++ programmingCross-functional collaborationProblem solvingMentoring and code/design reviewsAUTOSAR BSW/MCAL/OS bring-up and configurationCAN and Ethernet communication stacks development/integrationEmbedded C/C++ programming
